COOPERANT partners came together on 1 October 2026 for the project’s CM24 Consortium Meeting, hosted by Kraftblock in Neuweiler-Sulzbach, Germany. The hybrid meeting brought researchers, technology developers and communication partners together to share progress and align on the next stages of the project.
COOPERANT is working to make solar energy more reliable and flexible by combining Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) with high-temperature thermal energy storage. This approach can help deliver renewable energy beyond daylight hours, supporting a more resilient and sustainable energy system.
Throughout the day, partners exchanged updates on the different areas of work behind this ambition. Discussions covered innovative materials for solar-thermal systems, the design and prototyping of new technology concepts, artificial intelligence and digital tools, and the testing of solutions that could make CSP systems more efficient and easier to deploy.
