COOPERANT showcases its research at SolarPACES 2026

By Alejandra

COOPERANT took part in SolarPACES 2026, the 32nd International Conference on Concentrating Solar Power, Thermal and Chemical Energy Systems, held from 15 to 18 September in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Germany.

The project contributed actively to the international event through several poster presentations and an oral presentation led by CIEMAT, highlighting key advances in COOPERANT’s work on next-generation Concentrated Solar Power and high-temperature thermal energy storage technologies.

The contributions presented the project’s research across areas that are central to its technological approach, including advanced materials and components, thermal energy storage, receiver technologies, digitalisation tools, and the integration of innovative solutions for more efficient, flexible and sustainable CSP systems.

The oral presentation led by CIEMAT provided an opportunity to share COOPERANT’s progress with researchers, industry representatives and other stakeholders from the global CSP community. The poster sessions complemented this contribution by enabling more detailed technical exchanges on the project’s ongoing research and development activities.

SolarPACES is one of the leading international forums for concentrating solar power, thermal energy storage and related solar-thermal technologies. Its 2026 programme brought together experts working on topics such as advanced materials, receivers, storage systems, solar industrial process heat, solar fuels and digital tools.

COOPERANT’s participation in SolarPACES 2026 strengthened the visibility of its research and created opportunities for knowledge exchange with the wider international CSP community. The event also reinforced the importance of collaboration in accelerating the development of cost-effective, dispatchable and sustainable solar-energy solutions.
