COOPERANT CSP-TES

Development of a novel prototype with three main features:

1

High-performance Open Volumetric Receivers (OVR) for solar absorption and use of air as HTF

2

Thermal Energy Storage (TES) hybrid packed bed system

3

High-temperature solid-state mixtures and phase change materials

Benefits of COOPERANT CSP-TES PROTOTYPE design concept

More efficient power cycles (>42% thermal eff.)

Modularity and scalability

High energy density 600 kWh/m3

Customisation to diverse applications

Saving of TES construction material (25-30%)

Flexibility and dispatchability

High temperature operation >1000ºc

4-10 times more compact than sensible storage

Air as a sustainable HFT

COOPERANT-AI TOOL

This AI data driven tool will monitor and control the management of the flexible load TES coupled with the CSP generation. It proposes advanced control based on:

1

Reinforced Deep Learning (rDL) technique to develop a Digital Twin (DT).

2

Multicriteria Design Optimization (MDO) to make informed decisions towards replicability.

COOPERANT-TRANSFER

COOPERANT-TRANSFER is a transference program involving a multi-sector Stakeholder Replicability Board (SRB)for clustering, networking and synergetic actions. It includes the created Dissemination,Exploitation, Communicationand trainingmaterial, Open Access publications, best practices, factsheets, and a live lab demo to promote project outcomes while increasing scientific, industry, policyand socialacceptance.
